A little boy has died after being bitten by a dog in NSW’s central west this morning.
The two-year-old boy was left fighting for life after he was attacked at around 10:20am at a motel on Grenfell Road in Cowra.
Local officers rushed to the scene, but the boy had already been taken to Cowra Hospital with injuries to his face and neck.
He was then flown to Westmead hospital with “serious injuries” but tragically died.
Police established a crime scene at the motel, where specialist officers continue to investigate the incident.
Two dogs were secured and seized by local council, NSW police said.
