A man has died after being pulled from a popular swimming spot in New South Wales.
Emergency services were called to Delicate Nobby, just south of Crescent Head, on the Mid North Coast, after reports an unconscious man, believed to be from Queensland, had been pulled from the water about 5pm on Tuesday.
The man died at the scene despite the efforts of members of the public who performed CPR until the arrival of police and paramedics.
He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be a Queensland man aged in his 50s.
Mid North Coast Police District officers have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning.
A report will be prepared the Coroner.
